Afrobeat singer, Davido, has reacted to the latest champion in town, Ilebaye, who was crowned the winner of the Big brother Naija season 8 show, pocketing a whopping 120 million naira in the process.

Davido, on Monday, October 2, 2023, took to his X handle to celebrate the reality TV star, he wrote,

Replying via the comment section, Ilebaye wrote, “Thank you OBO.”

Meanwhile, Davido initially backed contestants, Kiddwaya and Neo Energy to win the grand prize at the beginning of the show.

However, none of them made it to the finals.

Ilebaye, the 22-year-old sensation, clinched the highly coveted top spot in the grand finale of BBNaija All Stars.

Baye scored 30.8% of the total votes to defeat her closest rival, Mercy Eke who got 23.48%. Her victory stunned many as she was a three-week evictee during her season in 2022, and an underdog in the ‘All Stars’ season.

Ilebaye’s triumph comes with a dazzling array of prizes, including a whopping 120 million naira in cash, a luxurious weekend getaway for two, and a brand-new SUV, along with several other exciting rewards.
