Tennis World champion, Serena Williams, and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, have welcomed their second baby girl.
The tennis icon, 41, and tech entrepreneur husband have welcomed their second baby girl, the couple shared the good news on Instagram on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
“Welcome, Adira River Ohanian,” the new dad of two captioned a family photo, revealing their baby girl’s name.
“Thanks to all the amazing medical staff who took care of my wife & our daughter 🙏 I’ll never forget the moment I introduced @olympiaohanian to her baby sister.”
He concluded the post with a quote, writing, “Your peace would have been like a river, your well-being like the waves of the sea.”
The 23-time Grand Slam champion, who said she was evolving away from tennis after last year’s U.S. Open, had confirmed news of her pregnancy in May, 2023.
The announcement of baby number two has now made Serena’s return to competitive tennis to appear highly unlikely for Williams. She is one of the most decorated athletes ever to pick up a racket.
